William Proznik

William (Bill) Proznik Jr, 67 of Eau Claire WI passed away at Mayo Health Osseo, WI, Oct. 5, 2025.

Bill was born in Virginia, MN on May 29th, 1958. He Graduated from Gilbert High School and received his masters degree in journalism from Mankato State and Bemidji State University.

Bill married Sally Knutson on Sept 14, 1979 and they were married 46 years

Bill worked as a sports editor for newspapers in Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri and Oklahoma. His last job he held was as owner-publisher of a weekly newspaper in Babbitt, MN. Bill enjoyed talking and watching hockey, sports fantasy games and reading.

Bill is survived by his wife Sally; son Bill (Mary) Chippewa Falls WI; sister Tracy (Paul), Craig Lakeville, MN; brother John (Sara) Buxton, N.D.; his grandchildren Olivia and Ava, Chippewa Falls, WI.; and his uncle Jim (Delores) Novak Blaine, MN

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; William and Phyllis, grandparents; John (Kate) Novak and grandson Owen
