William Harper

William James Harper Jr., age 82 of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Vita Care in Bloomer. Bill was born in Eau Claire on October 26, 1942 to the late William Harper and Evelyn Newburry.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Bill loved racquetball, bowling, golfing and staying active. He sold bar and restaurant equipment, worked for Benedicts and in 2020, he retired from L & M Mail & Courier due to health complications.

Bill is survived by his fiancé Lois Duerkop; children: Tharesa, Dan, Dawn, Billy, Trina and Aleisha; many grandchildren; and his sister Tootie Verone.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his brother Gary Seitz.

A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 305, 1300 Starr Ave., Eau Claire on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until 6:00 p.m. There will be a 1:00 p.m. service with Pastor Jeff Carlson officiating.
