William Brummond

William "Billy" Brummond, beloved dad, partner, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, October 3, 2025, due to a motorcycle accident. He was 53 years old.

Born on April 10, 1972, Billy lived his life with love, compassion, and an unwavering belief in the good in all things.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sally Brummond; his infant son, Darvin; his brother-in-law, Brian; his grandparents; uncle Jon, and several aunts and great aunts.

He is survived by his devoted son, Devin; his loving partner of 36 years, Amy; his beloved sister, Sally; and his cherished nieces and nephews-Simon, Sophie, and Alyx. He also leaves behind his adored cat, who shared his name and brought him endless comfort and joy.

In his younger days, Billy was an exceptional athlete, excelling in both baseball and basketball. His creative spirit found its expression in poetry and music. A gifted guitarist, Billy first picked up the instrument simply to bring to life the songs he already heard in his head. The music he created carried the same warmth, sincerity, and beauty that he shared with the world each day.

Those who knew Billy will forever remember his boundless generosity, his kindness, and the way he could make anyone feel like the most important person in the room. He was the kind of man who would help anyone in need and light up every space he entered with his smile, humor, and genuine spirit.

A celebration of Billy's life will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. All who knew Billy or wish to honor his memory are welcome to attend.

Billy's life was a testament to kindness, love, and compassion. His light will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
