Wayne Milan Berg

Wayne Berg, age 70, of New Richmond, passed away on August 29, 2026, surrounded by family.

Wayne graduated from New Richmond High School in 1974. He married Malva, and for 30 years they built a life together with their children, Mark Berg and Wendy (Dan) Dryden.

Wayne continued building right through his last days. He was always someone who could figure anything out, had a strong drive to get things done, and looked forward to the next project he could help with. Whether it was a slab of cement he helped pour, a shed he helped build, a machine or vehicle he fixed, or a smart-assed comment that stayed with you, Wayne left his mark on the people around him.

Wayne had 3 brothers, 4 sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that he truly enjoyed spending time with-playing cards, playing yard games, traveling, or simply talking. He especially enjoyed attending family camping events multiple times every summer.

Though Wayne is gone, the projects he helped finish and the memories he helped create will continue to stand as lasting reminders of the man he was. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
