Tracy Marie Gravunder

Tracy M. Gravunder, aged 56, crossed the great divide surrounded by family on September 9th 2026 in New Auburn, WI.

Tracy was born to Dale and Roxanne Gravunder August 25th 1970. She graduated from New Auburn High School and then dedicated her life to caring for others specifically providing childcare from her home until she was physically unable to continue to do so.

Tracy married Jeff Hable at Tomahawk Motorcycle Rally September 2004 followed by a more traditional ceremony in October of 2004. They were married longer than they were together but she always considered her two step-sons as two of her own children.

Tracy enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking, and camping-watching the critters (except for the birds; they know why) and basking in the moonlight. Above all else, Tracy's favorite thing to do was to spend time with those she loved whether that be around a campfire or the dining room table frequently lasting into the dark side of the morning.

Tracy transformed the mundane into adventure and could find humor in just about everything. She was the type of person who did the right thing because it was the right thing to do even if doing so carried a personal cost. She fiercely believed that the most expensive thing you could give someone was your time and was intentional about her presence. She was instantly infuriated by free cookies, subway, and being in the presence of sushi (salmonella!).

A woman with a tough exterior-she had a marshmallow center. Once you made it passed her walls she cared deeply for others and considered the thoughts and feelings of others before herself.

Tracy is remembered by her Mother Roxanne; Daughter Courtney; Son Michael (Kaela), Stepsons Jordan & Nick (Kayla); Grandson "Monkey" Reign; her sister Cary (Scott); and numerous family & friends.

Tracy was greeted in heaven by her fur-ever companions Kato & Echo; Father Dale; Grandparents Chuck, Bert, Orpha, & Herb; Uncles Terry "Cha Cha", David, & Tom; & Cousin April.

Tracy frequently stated that you are only as old as your mind which is why she was an 8 year old boy whom she had named Travis & announced his passing sometime in 2024.

The family of Tracy Gravunder would like to extend their appreciation to MCHS Oncology-Eau Claire, Brooke Steele, MCHS Pharmacy Staff-Chippewa Falls, Home Companions, St. Croix Hospice, & the numerous other specialties that helped Tracy on her journey home.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday September 26th at The Quarthouse in New Auburn from 3pm to 6pm and is open to the public for anyone and everyone who would like to join us in remembering Tracy/Smucker Bubbles San Diago/Sybil/Rex Goliath.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
