In Loving Memory of Timothy Clifford Bowe
March 10, 1960 - September 10, 2026
On September 10, 2026, we said goodbye to a man who was truly one of a kind.
Timothy Clifford Bowe, 66, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, formerly of Bloomer, passed away peacefully at his daughter Becky's home after a long and courageous battle of cancer surrounded by the people he loved most. Tim fought hard, but in the end, he gained his wings and went home to Heaven.
Tim was born on March 10, 1960, to Melvin and Delores Bowe. He was a man who lived life in his own way and left an impression on just about everyone he met.
If you knew Tim, you knew one thing, for sure you were going to laugh. There was never a dull moment when Tim was around. He could turn an ordinary moment into a story you would remember forever. He always had something to say, and you never quite knew what was going to come out of his mouth. Sometimes it was hilarious, sometimes it was completely inappropriate, but it was always Tim.
But beneath all the jokes and his larger-than-life personality was a man who loved his family very deeply. His children and grandchildren were an important part of his world, and the memories they made together will be treasured forever. His sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh will be some of the things his family and friends miss most.
Tim worked as a truck driver for Waste Management for many years, but his working life didn't begin there. He also spent many years farming, a part of his life that was an important piece of who he was. He took pride in working hard and providing for the people he loved.
But some of Tim's greatest memories came from the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved being a grandpa and was happiest when he was making memories with them. He loved go-kart racing with Kilee and Hunter, cheering them on and enjoying every minute of the excitement. And then there was Lilliana, who always seemed to find herself right in the middle of one of Grandpa Tim's jokes or shenanigans. There was never a shortage of laughs when the two of them were together. Then there was his "Carter buddy" who was there weed whacking and doing grandpa's dirty work.
Tim also had a soft spot for all the kids in the neighborhood. He loved handing out suckers, telling jokes, teasing them, and making them laugh. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and turning even the simplest moments into memories.
He leaves behind his children, Brandon Bowe, Becky Bowe, Jenae Torres and Tiffany Bergeron, and his beloved grandchildren, Kilee Bowe, Hunter, Carter and Lilliana Gruen, Dakotah and Austin Helwig and Shyanne Reichert and Mikayla, Brooklyn, and Caleigh Bergeron. He was also very excited to meet his very first Great-Grandbaby Westlynn at the end of September. He is also survived by his mom, Delores Bowe, siblings, Michael and Pam Bowe, Dave Bowe, Pamela and David Rodefer, along with many other numerous family and friends who were blessed to know him.
Tim is also survived by two very close family members Llyod and Debbie Denning and his Best Friends Dave King and Dan Niesen.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Bowe, his beloved wife Sue, his daughter Brittany Bowe and sister-in-law Paz Bowe.
And while saying goodbye hurts more than words can explain, there is something comforting about knowing that Tim isn't alone. He has gained his wings and is now reunited with Sue.
Tim didn't leave this world quietly. He left behind laughter, stories, memories, and pieces of himself in every person who loved him.
Dad. Grandpa. Son. Brother. Friend.
You will be missed more than you'll ever know.
So go ahead, Dad... fly high
Give Mom a hug for us.
Save us a place.
Until we see you again, we love you.
Rest easy, Dad. Your fight is over. Your pain is gone. Your wings are earned.
There are no words big enough to express our gratitude to Sarah and St. Croix Hospice. Sarah became more than just someone caring for Dad-she became someone our family could lean on during the most difficult chapter of our lives. She loved and cared for Dad with such compassion and made sure he was comfortable, heard, and surrounded by dignity and love until the very end.
Sarah, you will forever hold a special place in our family's hearts. Thank you for helping Dad through his final journey and for holding our hands along the way. We will never forget you.
A time of gathering will be held at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona on Thursday, October 29 from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.cremationsociety-wi.com.
