Steven J Simmons

Steven Jerome Simmons (Steve), age 75, of Elk Mound, WI (recently resided at Lake Hallie Memory Care), passed away on May 26,2026.

Steve was born in Santa Monica, California on December 11, 1950. He graduated from McDonell Central high school. He married and began working at Uniroyal in Eau Claire. He was drafted and served as a medic in Germany. When he left the service, he returned to Uniroyal. Later he went to school where he earned his RN degree and worked at Dunn County Healthcare Center. He enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle.

Steve was married three times. Joyce Milledge (deceased), Lois Thorp, (div), Susan Lawrence (div). He had a special friendship with Bonnie Pfaff for the last 15 years.

Steve is survived by his son Matthew Simmons (Marilyn) and his three grandchildren, Austen, Courtney, and Preston. His stepson Brian Jarvis, His siblings Regina Rhodes, Theresa Simmons (Mary Kelly), Susan Gavin (John), William Simmons (Jeannie), and many nieces and nephews.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents James C., and Rosetta R (Mahr) Simmons. Siblings James P. Simmons and Brenda M. Simmons

Steve has requested not to have a formal funeral.
