Sean Michael Sprester

Sean Michael Sprester, 59, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin passed away at his home on Friday April 10th, due to complications of cardiovascular disease.

Sean was born on May 24th, 1966 in Hartford, Wisconsin to Earl and Kathy Sprester. He was the 3rd youngest of 8 kids, 5 boys and 3 girls. The family moved to Star Prairie in the early 70s where Sean first started his schooling in New Richmond. The family bought a home and moved to Amery where he lived for many years and attended Amery schools. Sean lived between Amery with his dad and Eau Claire with his mom after his parents divorced. While he lived in Amery Sean and his good friend Dave Buck loved helping Harry Mewes at his auto salvage yard in Clayton. Sean and Dave were the best of friends, AKA partners in crime! They always had a good time together, no matter what they were up to. Sean also worked at Huntsinger Farms, a 5000-acre horseradish farm in Eau Claire for many years, he worked in the fields and as a sorter on the line. As seen on the Travel channel, Huntsinger Farms, (the largest grower and processor of horseradish) supplies the horseradish for the cocktail sauce on many cruise ships.

Sean has one daughter, Lynnea Sprester of Amery, and though they haven't spent much time together in recent years, Sean thought the world of Lynnea and loved her dearly.

Sean met his partner, Wendy Teela one night while trying to call a friend and dialed the wrong number, they talked for hours and they have been together ever since, for 25 years. Sean and Wendy loved to camp and fish and ride their 6-wheel ATV together. They called it "going wheeling." They also loved to garden. They took a lot of pride in their garden and their yard, both were huge and a lot to maintain.

Sean is preceded in death by his parents and his infant brother, Earl Patrick.

He is survived by his daughter Lynnea Sprester (Darin Vance) of Amery, his brother Tim Sprester (Connie) of LaCrosse, Tom Sprester (LuAnn) of Amery, sister Betty Ash of Amery, Dan Sprester of Cumberland, Melissa Arnett of Dayton, MN, Billie Sprester of St Croix Falls, grandchildren Jaci and Levi, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a celebration of Sean's life this summer.
