Scott Eugene Larson

Scott E. Larson, age 69, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 29, 1957, in Racine, WI, Scott was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence, humor, and ability to fix just about anything will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Larson; his mother, Shirley Porter; his daughters, Tera (Matt) Calkins and Emily (Rick) Christopherson; his son, Scott Hall; and stepdaughter, Tracy Oehlert (Mike Phetteplace). He is also survived by his brothers, Bruce Larson (Diann) and Brad Larson (Cheryl), and his dearest friend, Tom Modl.

Scott was a proud grandfather to Jullian, Ethan, Ty, Aaron, Issac, Bryce, Owen, Scarlett, and Alyssa, who brought tremendous joy to his life. He is also survived by stepbrothers, a stepsister, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Larson; his grandparents, Ole and Louise Larson and Frank and Helma Heath; his stepfather, Ron Porter; and stepbrothers.

Scott was a devoted family man who loved spending time with those closest to him. He was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed NASCAR, especially cheering on Jeff Gordon. Some of his favorite memories were made hunting, fishing, camping and attending Rock Fest.

A true collector and tinkerer at heart, Scott loved westerns, classic rock music, coins, sports cards, computers, and cars. He spent many years working as a transmission specialist and had an incredible ability to fix, build, or figure out almost anything. He also enjoyed his work creating maps and scientific materials for Hubbard Scientific. Scott was a simple man who found joy in the little things.

Most importantly, before his passing, Scott gave his life to Jesus Christ and found peace surrounded by the love of his family.

Scott will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, sharp mind, generous heart, and the love he had for his family. The memories he created and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held on June 1st, 2026 from 12:00-3:00 PM at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Chapel in Altoona, WI. A private burial at Chimney Rock Cemetery in Eleva, WI will take place on June 2nd, 2026.
