Rosemary "Rosie" K. Christiansen, of Ellsworth, passed away on May 6, 2025. She was born on December 26, 1954, at the River Falls Area Hospital to Rose (Peterson) Penny and Leo Penny. Rosie grew up in Ellsworth and attended school there until the age of 16, when she began working full-time.
On February 14, 1991, Rosie married the love of her life, Todd Christiansen. Together, they shared many wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Rosie loved being surrounded by family and friends. She had a remarkable ability to light up any room with her smile and warmth. Her genuine kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She had an infectious enthusiasm for life and made everyone around her feel loved and seen.
A devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers, Rosie also enjoyed watching NASCAR races-often from Danny Dunn's bar in East Ellsworth. She loved playing Euchre, going hunting, and cruising in the Corvette to car shows or simply enjoying a sunny day.
Throughout her life, Rosie worked many jobs, including at Kolpak, Jostens, Treasure Island, Swift Trucking, and Wise Way Trucking. However, her greatest passion was driving 18-wheelers across the country with Todd by her side.
Rosie is survived by her husband, Todd Christiansen; children Jared, Todd Jr. "TJ" (Britney Kruckow), and Tom (Michelle White); grandchildren Kaylyn, Peyton, Jayden, Adilyn, Connor, Cal and Kennedy; and great-grandson Jak. She is also survived by her brother Mike (Marcia) Penny, mother-in-law Louise (Quist) Christiansen, and brothers-in-law Randy Christiansen, Troy Christiansen, and Lynn Christiansen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Leo Penny; brothers John, Jim, Joe, Ed, and Peter Peterson; sister Irene Peterson; and father-in-law Gary Christiansen.
