Robin Erickson

January 9, 1944 — January 12, 2026

Robin L. Erickson, of Chetek, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the age of 82.

Robin was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, to John and Nellie Erickson. He grew up in Dassel, Minnesota, where he lettered in football and graduated from high school. Following graduation, he attended St. Cloud State University for one year.

After college, Robin was united in marriage to Judy Hedrick and had a daughter Melanie. They would later divorce.

Robin restored an old airplane and earned his pilot's license-an early reflection of his curiosity, mechanical skill, and love of adventure. Music was another lifelong passion. He began as a one-man band and later played in several bands, showcasing his remarkable talent on multiple instruments, including piano, organ, guitar, and saxophone.

It was during one of his band performances that Robin met the love of his life, Vicki. They were married and raised two children, Brendan and Paige. Robin combined his interest in cars with his entrepreneurial spirit by opening his own body shop, Brendan Paige Automotive. He was also very handy and worked extensively in commercial and residential construction and remodeling, eventually becoming a proud member of the Eau Claire Carpenters Union. Robin retired at the age of 62.

In retirement, he enjoyed spending precious time with family, collecting toy cars and coins, playing music, oil painting, and pursuing all forms of art.

Robin is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; his children, Brendan (Nicole), Paige (Kyle) Perusky, and Melanie Granlund; his brothers, Rick (Chris) and Jack (Lisa); and his cherished grandchildren, Rocklyn, Preston, Quinton, Nelli, Leroy, Robin, and Randi. Great-Grandchildren, Ava, Alexis, Addison and Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Cary "Butch" Erickson, and his sister, Cheryl "Dee" Fowler.
