Robert Stary

December 8, 1956 — April 6, 2025

Robert Francis Stary, 68, of Chippewa Falls, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 6, 2025 at Cambridge Senior Living in Eau Claire.

Bob was born in Chippewa Falls on December 8, 1956 to Dolores and Lawrence Stary. He graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1975.

Bob worked for the family business at Larry's Frozen Pizza, making and delivering pizzas to grocery stores and pubs in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He also worked as a custodian for several businesses in the Chippewa Valley.

Bob loved the outdoors. He spent much time riding his bike through Irvine Park and downtown Chippewa Falls, visiting with friends along the way. He enjoyed his dogs, fishing, and watching Brewers and Packer games. Bob was a diehard Packer fan and enjoyed going to games and collecting signed memorabilia.

Music also brought Bob great joy. He attended many concerts, festivals, traveling with the "Possum Band" and the "Sadie Brown Band" doing their stage lighting. The guys in these bands called him "Jive", a nickname that stuck with him. His favorite female artist was Dolly Parton, who sang him into heaven.

Family was very important to Bob and he was enthusiastic to celebrate birthdays and holidays. He enjoyed traveling to visit siblings in California, Kentucky, and Florida.

Bob was kind, humble, humorous, and had a big heart, which remained strong until the end.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Mary Ann Stary of Lafayette, WI, Thomas (Christine) Stary of Cadott, WI, Susan Stary of Winchester, KY, Catherine (Kevin) Littrell of Winchester, KY, Mark Stary (Jeff Coombs) of San Diego, CA, and Patti O'Dell of Eau Claire, WI, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and special family friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Dolores Stary and his brothers Michael, Frederick, Richard, and David Stary.

A mass and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
