Robert Helmut Beine

On May 31, 2026, Robert Helmut Beine was called home to the Lord at the age of 75 following a sudden and aggressive battle with cancer.

Robert was born June 26, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was baptized and confirmed at Saint Lucas Lutheran Church in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood.

On June 10, 1972, he married Lynnette LaForest and shared nearly 54 years of marriage together. He and Lynnette welcomed their first child, Ashley in June of 1984, and later a son, Andrew, in March of 1990.

Known as Bob by colleagues, Robert will be remembered for his 23-year career at WEAU-TV 13, where he served as Director of the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. news broadcasts from 1978 to 2001. He loved live television, taking great pride in directing numerous 24-hour telethons and special broadcasts throughout his career.

Robert had a deep love for film and television. He treasured the many peaceful hours spent fishing with his children and the memories they created together. He was also a devoted fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers, and a passionate follower of The Moody Blues, whom he saw in concert more than 20 times over the years.

Above all, Robert's unwavering faith in Christ guided him throughout his life. He was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church for over 37 years and faithfully served the congregation in many roles, including Sunday School Superintendent and Board of Elders.

Recently, Robert was truly delighted to become a grandfather to a little girl, Emma. He cherished every moment he spent with her, and especially loved making her smile and laugh.

Robert will be deeply missed by his family, friends, fellow church members, and all who were blessed to know him. May they find comfort in the assurance that he now rests in the loving arms of his Savior.

He is survived by his wife, Lynnette Beine; daughter, Ashley Beine; son, Andrew Beine (Sarah); granddaughter, Emma Beine; brothers, David (Judy) Beine and Mark (Corinne) Beine; nieces, Sarah (Mike) Pisarek and Elizabeth Beine; great nieces Francesca and Margaret Pisarek; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Beine; his parents, Fritz and Selma Beine; and his nephew, Eric Beine.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with light refreshments served at 3:00 p.m.
