Richard "Dick" Wayne Ingersoll, age 83, of Stanley, WI passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at home. He was born in Elkhorn, WI on Feb. 1, 1942, the son of Dwight and Irma (Cogger Markell) Ingersoll and was a graduate of Whitewater High School. After High School, He married Elizabeth Christbaum in 1962 and divorced in 1973. They had 2 daughters, Diane and Kristin. During that time, Dick joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in Barstow, CA. Dick married Linda F. MacKenzie on Feb, 1, 1975. Soon after, they bought a hobby farm in Augusta, WI. Dick worked as a Machinist at the Uniroyal Tire Factory in Eau Claire, WI until it closed in 1992. In 1995 they moved to Arco, Idaho where he worked as the Head of Maintenance at Lost Rivers Medical Center and also the Butte County School District. Dick and Linda both enjoyed horseback riding and taking trips to various National Parks.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Linda; 2 daughters, Diane K. Terreault of Belleville, MI. Kristin (Ed Putman) Ingersoll of Livonia, MI and a son, David (Shelly) Ingersoll of Eau Claire; 2 sisters, Frances Schmidt of Elkhorn and Nancy Wendorf of Delavan; grandchildren: Aaron (Sarah) Terreault, Mary (Thomas) Vendlands, Alexander Ingersoll and Adrianne Ingersoll; Many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; Sister, Helen Nesslar and his sister, Marguerite Ullius.
