Richard Alrand Goff

Richard A. Goff, age 84 of Altoona, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Richard was born on February 16, 1942 to the late Lyle and Eleanor Goff. On December 2, 1961, he married Judy Laabs in Abbottsford. Judy passed on November 1, 2024.

He graduated from Tomah High School and later moved to Merrill, WI. While in Merrill, Richard managed Chips Hamburgers and owned Kozy Korner Café. After selling the café, he worked for Farmers Insurance in Wausau until retirement.

Richard was a wonderful painter, painting beautiful works of art. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, spending time at his land in Draper, WI, playing the guitar and singing.

Survivors are his daughters, Deb Heldt and Lori (Tom) Stephens; grandchildren: Josh, Sydney, Corey and Jaycee; and great-grandchildren: Elliot, Hayzlee, Hudson and Charlie. He is survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Judy, parents and son-in-law Fred Heldt.
