Richard George

Richard J. George, age 89, Saxeville Township, Waupaca County, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.  He was born in Milwaukee on August 17, 1933 to Theodore and Leona George.

Throughout his career, he sold investment real-state and retired in the mid-1990s.  Being a true Wisconsin native, he enjoyed the great outdoors, black labs, skiing, hunting and fishing.

After his wife Shirley passed in 2018, he continued to visit the residents at Crossroads Care Center and do hospice visits to anyone in the Waupaca County area.

Richard is survived by his sons: Gary (Valerie) and David; daughter-in-law Laura George; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and his brother Tom (Nancy).  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Shirley; parents; sons: Dennis and Michael; and a grandson Joseph.

A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm (NOON) on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, N2845 Shadow Rd, Waupaca with Fr. Xavier Arockiamy Santiago officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of mass.
