Paul Allen Williams, 70, of Eau Claire, WI, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Paul was born on May 26, 1955, in Eau Claire, WI, to Ernest (Ernie) and Elaine Williams, a cherished gift as the sixth of eight children. He was granted the gift of rebirth through the washing of baptism on May 29, 1955, and later confirmed into the Christian faith at age 14.
Paul attended Messiah Lutheran Grade School and Immanuel Lutheran High School through the 10th grade, graduating from Memorial High School in 1973. After graduation he served his country by enlisting in the United States Army, stationed in Germany.
Following his service, Paul built a lifelong career with the United States Postal Service. During this time, he became a proud father to his son, Jordan Williams. Paul continued his work with USPS until his retirement in 2013.
In retirement, he stayed active by taking on various jobs, including cutting the greens at Wild Ridge, Mill Run and Lake Hallie Golf Course.
Paul was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Badgers, Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.
Much of what Paul loved most in life was shared with his brother Tom. Whether they were bowling, golfing, or traveling, the two were rarely apart. A proud moment came in 1999 when he bowled a perfect 300 game.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; his mother, Elaine; his brothers, Wayne and Jeff Williams; his brother-in-law, Edwin Trapp; and his nephew, Tony Williams.
Paul is survived by his son, Jordan Williams of Peoria, IL; his siblings, Stephen Williams of Lakewood, CO; Carol Trapp of Chippewa Falls, WI; Thomas Williams and his wife, Sharon, of Eau Claire, WI; Timothy Williams and his wife, Joleen, of Mankato, MN; Ruth Williams of Eau Claire, WI; sister-in-law Gretchen Williams of Phoenix, AZ; and sister-in-law Laurie Williams of Deephaven, MN; along with many nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
