Patricia Reinardy

April 3, 1941 — March 6, 2025

Pat's first memory was from an early birthday party. Eager to blow out the candles, she got a bit too close and lit her curly red hair. The experience didn't scare her from partying - it ignited a lifelong passion for living life to the fullest. She passed away peacefully at her daughter's home Thursday morning, March 6th.

Pat Reinardy was a person who wanted to get to know you. Her curiosity and interest in people attracted a group of lifelong friends who supported and stood by her through her challenges with dementia.

A lifelong educator, her teaching career began in Alaska and Puerto Rico. While teaching in Sauk Centre, Minnesota she met her husband Dave and after several moves they landed in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and raised their two children there. Pat worked as a teacher at Chippewa Valley Technical College for over twenty years.

Always on the go, Pat visited all 50 states, volunteered in her community and sang in several local choirs and musicals. An avid bridge player, she obtained the status of Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League.

Most of all, Pat liked to have fun, song and dance came naturally to her, and there wasn't a party where she wasn't doing one or the other.

She is survived in death by her children Dan and Meg Reinardy, her brothers and sisters Chuck, Mary, Greg, Larry and Mark Hiemenz and their families.

We would like to thank the staff at Lily Hospice for their amazing kindness and support. The family asks that donations be sent to Stand in the Light Memory Choir of Eau Claire.
