After a battle of multiple health conditions, Norris Berg, age 78 of Ellsworth, WI., went to be with the Lord peacefully, September 28, 2021, with his family by his side. Norris was born on October 17, 1942, to Cecil and Mildred Berg, Red Wing, MN. He was united in marriage on October 9, 1967, to Pamela Lowery, San Angelo, TX. They were blessed with two daughters. He married his current bride, Kay (Hviding) June 8, 1985.
He attended Williston High School, ND, University North Dakota Williston, and University Wisconsin Stout, Menomonie. Out of college he sold magazines door to door in Seattle, California, and Mexico City. He was a career Air Force service member 1963-1990 and served as a Radio intercept analyst and a recruiter, across the United States and various countries. After retiring he worked at The Service Agency in Ellsworth, WI. for 15 years.
He was a loyal, passionate life member and volunteer for organizations such as The American Legion, The Masonic Lodge, multiple Llama organizations, and Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He enjoyed collecting stamps as well as souvenirs from vacations and duty stations. He had pride in visiting all 50 states and lived in 4 countries and 11 states with his family.
He will be remembered most for his helpful hand, stubborn fun spirit and practical jokes that always put a smile on others faces and his. He enjoyed and greatly loved his many pets and hobby farm animals he had during his life. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He could always be seen at the many events supporting and cheering them on.
Norris is survived by his wife of 36 years Kay Berg, 2 daughters; Teresa Berg-Rossel (José), Cindy Feuerhelm (Kit), 6 grandchildren; Amanda (Andrew), Josh (Taylor), Sawyer, Breann, Natalie, and Erica. 5 great-grandchildren; Nora, Paisley, Nash, Mitchell, and Casen. As well as many cousins and friends. Norris was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Mildred Berg, his twin sister Nancy, and his first wife of 17 years, Pamela.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred; the Masons, The American Legion or cause of your personal choosing.
Visitation will be Thursday October 14, 2021, from 3-5 pm, followed by a funeral service at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, N6450 530th St., Beldenville, WI. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling, at later date.
