Nancy Hayden

Nancy Carol Hayden age 89 of Eau Claire, Wi passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 1,2025. Nancy was born in Eau Claire, Wi to Ezra and Rachel (Phillips) Moen on November 30, 1935.

She Lived her entire life in Eau Claire, but always loved to escape to her lake home on Spider Lake in Birchwood Wi! Many, many memories with her family were made there!

Nancy worked for many years and retired from Armor Foods in Eau Claire. After retirement she worked as a CNA for Grace Edgewood, and later at McDonalds where she enjoyed visiting and meeting new people daily. She had a zest for life and never slowed down. She was always known to speak her mind! She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them, especially her grandchildren! She loved taking them camping and fishing on weekends! Shopping was always her thing making sure to have closets full of goodies for her grandchildren and great grandchildren! She was very proud of her 4 children, Mike, Vicky, Terry, and Jim! She hosted every holiday she could as long as she could! You could always find her out mowing her yard and tending to her beautiful flowers! She had the house with "the pool" that everyone enjoyed! She enjoyed a good card game with friends and enjoyed listening to music! Her favorite, Daniel O'Donnell.

She was the biggest Green Bay Packer Fan there ever was! She said her favorite day later in life was meeting Aaron Jones and other Packer Players at her senior living apartment! She had them on display for everyone to see! She loved her church Saving Grace and made the most beautiful blankets that she donated as often as she could.

Her love of Christmas was displayed by her collection of Santa Claus figurines throughout her house! She was happy to make sure everyone in her family picked one out to keep when she moved.

Nacy is survived by her Childre: Mike (Amy) Hayden, Vicky (Bill) Teigen, Terry (Kathy) Hayden, Jim (Denise) Hayden; Grandchildren: Brenda (Glen) Fedie, Lisa (Mike) Olson, Travis (Tom) Teigen and Jennifer (Luke) Cobb, Jennifer (Dan) Larson, Rachel (Joe) Max, Trevor Hayden, Sam Hayden, Jessica Hayden, Kolton (Sarah) Hayden, Janel (Louis) Hoeser, Paige (Shelton) Hazuga, Natalie Crook; and 21 Great Grandchildren. She is further survived by two Sisters, Judy Elmore and Sally Mayers, and Brother-in-law Harlow Bahr.

Preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Siblings, Claire (Tom) Moen, Joanne Behlke, Don Moen, Sharon (Cookie) Bahr, and Robert (Bobby Jim) Moen

The family would like to thank all her wonderful neighbors for helping over the years that allowed her to live in her home as long as she could!

Also, the staff at Cambridge Senior Living who were so compassionate and loving and took such good care of her! A very special message goes out to Angie from St. Croix Hospice! Thank you so much for giving our mom and grandmother so much love and care during her final days! You will always hold a special place in our hearts! You and your team are amazing and Thank You is just not enough.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona with Pastor David Irgens officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
