Maurice William Braun

Maurice William Braun, 72, of Cumberland, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1953, in South St. Paul, Minnesota, to Maurice Wayne Braun and Rosella Fye.

Maurice had a deep love for the outdoors and found great joy in camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed taking long drives in his truck and spending time with the people he loved most. Whether sharing stories around a campfire, casting a line, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, Maurice created lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Maurice Braun and his fiancée, Breanne; Nathan Braun; Amanda Makowsky and her husband, Matt; and Robyn Braun. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Bachmeyer; two granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Wayne Braun and Rosella Fye, and by his siblings, Glyness Laguna, Wayne Braun, and Diane Kaseno.

A celebration of Maurice's life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.

Maurice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his kind heart, his love of the outdoors, and the time he shared with those he held dear. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
