Marlow Larry Wathke

Marlow Wathke, 84, of Fall Creek, Wisconsin passed away on August 10, 2026 at home.

Marlow was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on March 25, 1942. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1960 and attended UWEC for one year.

Marlow married Barb Kildahl on March 30, 1963 and they were married for 63 years.

Marlow worked as an Engineering Tech at Finley Engineering Co. in Eau Claire until retiring in 1995 after 32 years of employment.

He played fast pitch softball in Eau Claire for many years and made many, many friends. He also enjoyed attending Packer games for about 15 years making wonderful memories with family and friends that went along. He especially enjoyed the 20 winters spent at our home in Gilbert, Arizona.

Marlow is survived by his wife, Barb, sons Mike and Brian, granddaughters Cayci (Noah) and their children Emeri and Elliana and Carcyn (Blayton), and Sarah and her children Colson and Hudsyn and nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Marlow is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Anna, in-laws Jack Kildahl; Dora Rabideaux, brother Ken, sisters Bernadine, her husband Jerome Stone and Darlene.

Marlow's family would like to thank Pastor Bruss and so many family and friends who have shown us how blessed we are to have them in our lives.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of St Matthew, 1915 Hogeboom Avenue in Eau Claire with Pastor James Bruss officiating. Burial will take place at St John Cemetery in Fall Creek at 1:30 p.m.
