Lynn Marie Harris, 73, passed away at Marshfield Hospital in Marshfield on February 10, 2026 after an encounter with multiple myeloma.
Lynn was born on August 20, 1952 in Eau Claire to Kenneth and Marjorie (Hardwick) Harris. She worked at her parents Pronto Pup while in high school and graduated from Altoona High in 1970. She married Greg Anderson in 1971-a marriage that lasted 34 years and welcomed daughter Charlotte. Among other endeavors, Lynn worked for a number of years at the Spooner DNR. She graduated in 1988 with honors from Stout University with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Lynn and Greg eventually moved to Holcombe where they built a new home. After they went their separate ways, Lynn built another house in Holcombe near the lake. In June 2008, Lynn married Karsten Wedwick who had sold her the new house. She spent a number of years in the Ladysmith school system where she taught Special Education, and remarked on numerous occasions that her special ed background was a great asset in dealing with her husband.
Lynn looked forward to: her Ladysmith line dance group, the weekend matinees at the Miner Theater in Ladysmith, groups brought in by the Flambeau Valley Arts Association, performances at the Red Barn Theater in Rice Lake and the Heyde Center in Chippewa Falls. She was also not a stranger to Vegas and local casinos.
The travel bug took Lynn to the Caribbean, a trip to Iceland, a tour of 6 National Parks and a couple cruises to Alaska. It was on the second cruise she saw the Jersey Boys perform the story of the Four Seasons band-a spectacular performance she called the best show she had ever seen.
Lynn embraced her faith by attending numerous churches over the years. She loved animals and dearly missed her cats Gizmo and Vinny. She visited her two special friends weekly, aunt Dawn Johnson and Colleen Bender who was by her side when she passed.
She is survived by her husband: Karsten Wedwick; daughter Charlotte Anderson; brothers, Kenneth, and Wayne; sister Jane (Greg) Toro; brother-in-law Bill Wachtler; 3 aunts, Beth and Dawn Johnson, and Audrey Hardwick; 7 nieces; 1 nephew and 2 God children; Ryan Stovern and Rebecca Wachtler.
