Loretta "Dollie" Clara McCann (Finseth)

Loretta "Dollie" McCann, 93, of Fall Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Dove Healthcare - South. She was born in Eau Claire, WI to Palmer and Helmina (Johnson) Finseth. She attended Meadow Brook School, Eau Claire Senior High, and Mondovi High School. She was confirmed December 1945 at Drammen Lutheran Church.

Dollie married Wayne McCann on December 9, 1949, at the Norden Parsonage in Buffalo County, WI. Together they raised three children. They made their home in the Town of Drammen until 1961, when they moved to the Town of Seymour in Eau Claire County. During the Korean War, she worked at Presto Industries assembling fuses for the military. She later devoted herself to raising her family and served as the bookkeeper for the family's construction and rental business. Dollie had a deep love for genealogy and spent countless hours researching family history, always eager to share her discoveries. No one ever left her home without good conversation, a cup of coffee, and a treat at the kitchen table.

Dollie will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Nancy) and Brian (Colleen), all of Fall Creek. She is also survived by grandchildren: Gavin (Melissa), Cory, Travis (Nichole), Mikayla (special friend Brian); and Ethan (special friend Sadie); great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Clay; brother Ernest Finseth, sister Marie (Rollie) Fredrickson, and brother Larry (Carol) Finseth.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wayne; her son, Dennis; grandson, Alex McCann; parents, Palmer and Helmina; and brother, Harold Finseth.

Visitation will be at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona, WI on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral to follow immediately at 12:00 p.m. Internment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour Township.

Pallbearers will be Gavin McCann, Cory McCann, Travis McCann, Mikayla McCann and Ethan McCann. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt McCann and Clay McCann.
