LaWayne Anderson

LaWayne K. (Andy) Anderson, 84, went to his heavenly home March 1st, 2025. He was born in Bloomer, WI to Bernard and Lorraine (Curavo) Anderson. LaWayne grew up and went to school in New Auburn, WI, and made Chetek, WI his home in 2002. LaWayne married Brenda (Fell) on February 27th, 1971 in Monroe Center, Illinois.

LaWayne was a giver and helped so many people. He loved family and farming but was passionate about fishing and sharing his bountiful catch with many people. He retired from Market & Johnson of Eau Claire as a cement mason. He was a 50-year member of OPCMIA.

Remaining to cherish LaWayne's memory are his wife Brenda of Chetek, children Scott (Chris) Anderson of Marshfield, WI, Greg Anderson of Belvidere, IL, Kimberly Thornton of Brodhead, WI, Jeannette Pollnow of Belvidere, IL and Jon (Lisa) Anderson of Chetek, along with 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers Bruce Anderson of Machesney Park, IL and Ray (Butch) Anderson of Chetek, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Lorraine, daughter-in-law, Diana Anderson, son-in-law, Charles Pollnow, sister-in-law Jo Ann Anderson.

The family would like to thank the Marshfield Clinic of Rice Lake Hospice staff and nurses for their compassion and care. The family is assisted by Stokes, Prock & Mundt Crematory Society of Altoona, WI.

A Celebration of Life will be held in LaWayne's memory May 3rd, 2025.
