Kevin R. Stanton, age 58 of Altoona, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 15, 2026. Kevin Roderick Stanton, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on April 27, 1968, in the town of Ladysmith, Kevin's journey through life was marked by warmth, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved. Kevin was the beloved son of the late Jim and Barbara Stanton. He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Debbie Stanton, whom he married on March 12, 1994, at Peace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Their union was a testament to enduring love, fulfilled with laughter and joy, and blessed with his beautiful daughter Devin Stanton, and two sons Tyler Stanton and Brent (Meghan) Stanton. Kevin's legacy lives on through his children and his five grandchildren, Bryella, Bentley, Mayah, Emma, and Masyn who brought joy to his life. Kevin's educational journey began at Altoona High School, where he graduated in 1986. He furthered his education at Mt. Senario and La Crosse Tech, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career. He proudly served in the Army Reserve enlisting right after high school, following in his father's footsteps, embodying a spirit of service and dedication to his country. He played with the Augusta Athletics baseball team for many years after high school. Kevin worked at Western WI. Urology for 20 years before working at Marshfield Clinic in Rice Lake and then transitioning to a role in quality assurance at Walmart DC in Menomonie where he worked Fri, Sat, and Sun and always said he felt semi retired and had free time to help people and enjoy life. His colleagues word him as a diligent and reliable professional who always brought a sense of humor and camaraderie to the workplace. Kevin had a zest for life and a passion for sports, finding joy in coaching and umping, sharing his love for the game with others. He was also a karaoke enthusiast, never missing an opportunity to light up a room with his spirited performances. Beyond his hobbies, Kevin was known for his kind heart, funny personality, and warm spirit, ensuring that everyone around him felt loved and appreciated. In addition to his immediate family, Kevin is survived by his siblings, Jim (Kathy) Stanton, Charissa (Pat) Morgan, and Matt (Rachel) Stanton, and many nieces and nephews. Kevin's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. His kindness, humor, and love will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have been touched by his presence. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kevin's memory to a charity of your choice, as a way to honor his generous and compassionate spirit. As we bid farewell to Kevin, we celebrate a life well-lived and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. His memory will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the power of love, laughter, and kindness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church, 501 E. Fillmore Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor David Forke officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona and 1 hour prior at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Eau Claire.Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, Altoona is assisting the family.
