Karlyn Kay Morrison (Krause), age 64, of Loyal, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center with her husband, children and other close family and friends by her side.
Karlyn was born on October 20, 1961, in Marshfield Wisconsin, to Felix and Lola (Lowery) Krause. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1979, before moving to Montevideo, Minnesota, in 1988. It was there that she married the love of her life, Jimmie Morrison, on June 7, 1991. In July of 2001, Karlyn and Jimmie moved their family back to Loyal, where Karlyn remained until her passing.
Karlyn spent much of her working life taking pride in whatever job she did. She worked at Abby Vans in Neillsville Wisconsin. She continued working until her health eventually led to her hospitalization and rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Karlyn enjoyed the things that made her feel beautiful and brought her joy. She loved doing her nails, makeup, perfume and jewelry. What started as hobbies became something she enjoyed sharing with others as she sold Paparazzi jewelry, Color Street Nails and Avon. She also loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and other family and friends
But more than anything, Karlyn will be remembered for the way she loved people.
Anyone who knew Karlyn would likely use the same words to describe her: loving, kind, sweet and genuinely caring. She was everyone's sister, everyone's mom and everyone's aunt. She loved the people in her life with her whole heart and rarely met a person she couldn't care about. Her kindness and the way she welcomed people into her life will be remembered by many for years to come.
Karlyn was baptized Lutheran and raised her children in the Lutheran church, attending Jevnaker Lutheran Church in Montevideo, Minnesota, and later Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, Wisconsin.
Karlyn's greatest joy was her family and the many people she considered family. She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Morrison; her children, Krisa Krause (Dustin Murphy); Tyler Morrison (wife Heather Post); Christine Bottlemy (husband Jason); and Kimberly Dix.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dakota Pongratz (husband Ed); Kaylie Lofquist (husband Mason); Austin Bottlemy; Izik Morrison; Levi Morrison; Alyvia Morrison; Madyson Dix; Allyson Dix; and Jayna Dix.
Karlyn was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Easton Pongratz, Beau Pongratz, Kendra Lofquist, Maverick Lofquist and Wyatt Bottlemy.
She is also survived by her Brothers Jim Krause and Tim Krause (wife Jackie), sisters Peggy Zarnke, and Judy Stephens.
Karlyn was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Lola, Sister Jackie and Brother Michael.
She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply, along with countless friends and people who were lucky enough to call her Mom, Grandma, Auntie Karlie, sister or friend. Her place in their lives cannot be replaced, but the love she gave so freely will continue through all of them.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church in Medford, Wisconsin, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Karlyn will be deeply missed, but the love she gave to so many will never be forgotten.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
