Joseph F. Silvia, age 86 of Altoona, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 surrounded by his family. Joe was born in New York on June 17, 1935 to Tobias and Mary (Souza) Silvia.
Joe was the District Manager of Triple AAA in Eau Claire until he retired and did odd jobs until he was 72. He loved playing the accordion and keyboard.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary “Joanne”; daughter Karen (George) Olivera; son Joe (Evlene) Silvia; daughters: Linda Johnson, Tina Jensen and Lisa Pope; step-children: Rhonda Swedeen, Debbie Rogers, Pamela Swedeen, Tammy (Jamie) Hughes and Ralph Sweden whom he thought of them like his own; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are parents, Tobias and Mary Silvia; brother Tobias “Toby” Silvia; and sister Mauren Guinon.
A time of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of remembrance.
