Jose was born in San Juan, Texas on July 13th, 1979, where he lived with his parents and siblings.
Jose and his family migrated from Texas to Wisconsin every year until 1999 when he met Rebecca Lund. They have four beautiful children, Haley Sandoval, Joshua Sandoval, Marissa Sandoval, and Madalyn Sandoval. Jose, Rebecca and their children returned to deep Southern Texas in 2011 to raise their children together until moving back to Wisconsin in 2020.
Jose was an avid sports fan. He was known as El Indio Del Norte by his beloved Donna Redskins. A super fan for the Rio Grande Vipers, along with his love for the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros, and the iconic Duke Blue Devils. Disc golfing was a favorite pastime for him and his children.
Survivors include Rebecca Lund; his children: Haley, Joshua, Marissa and Madalyn; parents Ramiro Sr. and Maria Sandoval; siblings: Victor (Norma) Sandoval, Ramiro (Nelly) Sandoval, Jose Sandoval and Teresa Sandoval; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Preceding in death are his mother-in-law Deb Lund, niece Tessa Faith Cavazos and Felipe Ramirez, to whom was his cousin and lifelong best friend.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 p. m. on Saturday, March 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1812 Lynn Ave., in Altoona. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the church. A separate visitation will be on Friday, March 27, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. Rosary services will begin at 6:30 p.m. to conclude the evening.
