John Franck

John "Butch" Gregory Franck, age 83 of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Butch was born in Eau Claire on September 17, 1941 to John Sr. and Violetta Franck.

Butch graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School then went on to join the United States Navy, where he served on the U.S.S. Buck. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, he returned home and married Diana Cleasby on December 1, 1962.

In 1967, they started a dairy farm together just south of Eau Claire. Retiring from farming, Butch went into carpentry work for Rick Myren Construction.

He is survived by his wife Diana of 62 years; daughter Dawn (Jack); sister Judy; brother Pete "Lynn"; sister-in-law Vickie "Kim"; brother-in-law Dave (Trisha); many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents John Sr. and Violetta, and brother-in-law Duane Bien.

Burial with full military honors will be held at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) at the Bennett Cemetery, Solon Springs on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
