Jean M. Schymanski, 88, of Chippewa Falls, WI passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Chippewa Falls, under the care of Heartland Hospice. Jean was born April 1, 1937, to Robert and Beulah McVinnie in Chippewa Falls. Jean attended school in Chippewa Falls and on July 19, 1957, married Mike Schymanski at Holy Ghost Church. Together, Mike and Jean loved to travel, camp, and spend time with family and friends. Jean eventually retired from the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District.

Jean is survived by her daughter Debra Ackerman-Turner of Yuma, Arizona, daughter-in-law Cheryl Schymanski of Wisconsin Rapids, three grandchildren, Melissa (Steve) Henderson of Boyd, Jon (Britany Erickson) Ackerman of Evanston, Wyoming, Kate (Chris) Lindgren of Killeen, Texas, four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Hannah Henderson, and Jonny and Lacy Ackerman, sisters-in-law Judy McVinnie of Chippewa Falls, and Sandra Rader of Wausau, brother-in-law Tom Schymanski of Aurora, Colorado, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael Schymanski Sr., son Michael Schymanski Jr., brothers Wilton, Donald, and Jack McVinnie, sister Eunice Crandall, sisters-in-law Diane McVinnie, Joan McVinnie, Betty Heitman, Grace Schymanski, Kathy Schymanski, Evelyn Schymanski, and brothers-in-law Myron Rader, Don Heitman, Charles Schymanski, and Buck Crandall.

Jean will be laid to rest with her late husband Mike at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin, at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice, the Chippewa Manor Residential Apartments, and Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, for their loving and compassionate care.
