Jean Marie Smith

Jean M. Smith, 71 of Chippewa Falls, passed away on Thursday March 12th, 2026 at home in her sleep. Jean was born April 18th, 1954 in Eau Claire. She is the daughter of the late Arthur Sr. and Beverly (Schlegelmilch) Lium.

Jean loved to travel. She also enjoyed spending time at Irvine Park having picnics and taking in its beautiful scenery. She also enjoyed taking trips to the casino. Jean had a special friend of 12 years named Wayne Dodge and a lifelong friend named Carol Wilson.

Jean is survived by her son Sonny (Jessica) Wilson of Sturgeon Bay. Sisters, Carol Butteris of Johnson Creek, Susan (Ed) Vold of Eau Claire, June (Charles) Seng of Cadott, Ruth (Kerwin) Lium of Eau Claire and a Brother Michael (Dawn) Lium of Eau Claire. Jean had many nieces and nephews.

Jean was proceeded in death by her parents Arthur and Beverly Lium, Sister Barbara Halvorson, and Brother Arthur Lium Jr.

She will be buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire at a future date. There will also be a celebration of Jean's life in the future for family and friends.
