Jane Brink

Jane Gwendolyn Brink, 91, passed away at her home in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin on August 1, 2025.

Jane was born January 21, 1934 to Olin Leonard Perkey and Harriet Alice Weston Perkey in Ladysmith WI. Her family moved to Mishawaka, IN when Jane was a teenager and she graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1952. She married Rudy Glen Brink on December 20, 1952. They lived in the Mishawaka/South Bend area until 1963, when they moved to Iowa and owned and operated an A&W in Glenwood for many years. In 1975, Jane and Rudy purchased an A&W in Ladysmith, WI. After Rudy's death in 1990, she continued to operate the A&W and sold the property in 1997. She moved to Chippewa Falls, WI in 2006.

Jane was an artist. She loved nature and animals and many of her paintings reflected that love. She enjoyed her time associated with the Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Annmarie (Jim) Kurtenbach of Nevada, IA, her grandchildren Daniel (Alexandra) Kurtenbach of Alexandria, VA, Justin (Beckie) Kenter of Seattle, WA, Joseph (Vaughn) Kurtenbach of Novato, CA, Brian Kenter of Onalaska, WI and Brandon Kenter of Madison, WI, her great-grandchildren Charlotte Kurtenbach of Novato, CA, Benedict Kurtenbach of Novato CA and Claire Kurtenbach of Alexandria, VA and her sister Marjorie White of Mishawaka, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Brink, her daughter Katherine Brink, her parents Olin and Alice Perkey, and her sisters Jacqueline Biller and Barbara Swaine.
