James Eugene McCann, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed peacefully in his home on the family farm on October 15, 2021. He was born in Mondovi, Wisconsin on February 24, 1955 before moving to Fall Creek, WI where he attended high school. Jim (Jimmy) went on to work with his father at Cascade Tissue for 45 years before retiring in 2018. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Harley rides, and trips to the casino. He was never a man to hurt feelings or complain about his misfortunes and was often referred to as a “Teddybear”. He was a simple man who enjoyed simple things, and he left us in the home he grew up in and on his terms. He will forever be remembered and the time we had with him cherished.
He is survived by two sons, Curtis (Cari) McCann of Eau Claire; and Russell McCann of Bloomer. He is further survived by grandchildren Devin, Allie, Tyler James, Brok and Mitchell. He is also survived by his siblings Geraldine (Cheri) McCann, Susan (Paul) Eckel, Becky (Ronald) Herman, Amy (Alan) Nelson, Daniel McCann and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Genevieve McCann.
There will be a private service for immediate family at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Fall Creek.
