James Jensen

James Jensen, 72, of Eau Claire, WI passed away at home with family by his side April 27, 2025.

He was born to Lewis and Jane (Waggoner) Jensen. He married Kim Geissler. Jim Served his country in the United States Army in the early 70's and dedicated his life to being an alcohol and drug counselor for over 20 years. He was president of the Employee Assistance Program for the State of Wisconsin. He worked for Maxine's, a contracted program by the State of Wisconsin until his health declined.

Jim's life was dedicated to his family, there wasn't a thing he wouldn't do for them. His grandchildren were the center of his life. His passion was being on his motorcycle, being free on the open road, with the wind on his face. He and Kim put thousands of miles on riding to different states.

He is survived by his wife Kim, two daughters Nicole Jensen, Sara Brownell, son Josh (Kay) Del Sol, two estranged sons, five grandchildren Kallie Tuckwab, Taylor Woody (Cody Stolt), Jordan Woody, Jango and Pepper Del Sol, three great-grandchildren Jade, Kullen and Emilia, sister Kathy Jensen, brother Larry Jensen, two sisters-in-law, Pat Neal, Karen Schroeder and brother-in-law Gary (Judy) Geissler, several nieces and nephews and his special 4-legged buddy Kylo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Louis, Donny, Willis, Ted and Bob Handt.

The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Mayo, you were the best. Interim Hospice, thank you for the care and compassion we received.

A memorial service will be held for James at 6 P.M. on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona. A visitation period will take place from 4 P.M. until the service.
