James "Jim" Allan Anderson, age 91 of Eleva, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls. He was born to the late Ludvig and Blanche (Hogue) Anderson on January 6, 1935 in Strum, WI. Jim graduated from Eleva-Strum High School in 1952 and was united in marriage to Lois Semingson on February 26, 1955, having celebrated 70 years.
His family was the pride and joy of his life. Jim was very committed and active in the lives of his two daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jims working career included the United States Army, Eleva Feed Mill, driving gas trucks for Cenex, purchasing a farm and drove school bus for Eleva-Strum Central for 50 years. He enjoyed attending and driving the spectator bus to school activities. Jim purchased a team of draft horses and loved taking them to area parades. They were his favorite hobby.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lois; daughters: Jill (Kevin) Larson and Jamie (Tom) Nichols; grandchildren whom he loved and enjoyed dearly: Derric Becker (Nicole), Danielle Becker (Keegan), Devin Becker (Kayla), Ryan Payne, Matthew (Jessa) Payne, Casey (Brett) Serum, Shane (Lacy) Larson and Dillon Larson; great-grandchildren: Hunter and Beau Becker, Aiden Solofa and Nova Kampa, Haven and Arlo Becker, Levi Mahder, Haven and Brooks Kadinger, Kaylee and Kenlee Payne, Shay, Elodie and Cedar Payne, Tyson, Teghan and Trey Serum, and Emerson, Everly and Eliza Larson; sisters and brother-in-law's Inez Semingson, Ron Semingson, Donna Peterson, Karen Kees and Roxie Berg. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, siblings and their spouses, Leo and Ardith Anderson, Beryl and Lyle Mahlum, Helen Rongholt, Leneta and Hank Rongholt, Marion and Dick Deinhammer, Sharon and Joe Hiller, Ina and Don Larson; brothers and sister in-laws Eugene Semingson, Jane Semingson, Duane Peterson, Dick Kees and Robert Berg.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026 at the Eleva Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Military Honors by the Eleva American Legion Post 459, following the service. Please feel free to wear your Eleva-Strum Cardinals, GB Packers, or WI Badgers attire.
A celebration of life will be held immediately following the service at the Eleva American Legion Post 459, adjacent from the church.
