Henry Otto Bohlinger

Henry Otto Bohlinger Jr., 100 (36,600 days) of Strum, WI passed peacefully away on May 4, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Henry was born in Irish Valley near Waumandee, WI on February 18,1926 to Henry Sr. and Erma (Loesel) Bohlinger. At the age of three the family moved to a farm in the Town of Clear Creek.

Henry graduated from St Patrick's High School in Eau Claire, WI in 1944, where he met his wife and best friend of 49 years, Margaret F. Haas. They were joined in marriage on September 27,1947 at Holy Guardian Angels in Brackett, WI. Together they farmed in both Clear Creek and Beaver Creek where they raised 11 children.

Henry enjoyed farming, carpentry, gardening and woodworking. He was known for his dill pickles and poor man's soup.

Henry is survived by his children: Marjorie (LaVern) Hasart, Patricia Bohlinger, Rodney (Christine) Bohlinger, Gregory (Deborah) Bohlinger, Catherine (Donald) Lexvold, David (Jackie) Bohlinger, Timothy (Betsy) Bohlinger, Thomas Bohlinger, Kristine Bohlinger, and Rebecca Bohlinger. 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law: Nancy and Robert Rosenbaum, and three sisters-in-law: Mildred Jaenke, Grace Haas, and Mary Ann Haas.

Henry is proceeded in death by his wife, Margaret, son, Charles Bohlinger and great grandson, Cole Penk.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Edgewood in Altoona and Moments Hospice for helping with Henry's care.

Henry's celebration of life will be held at the Clear Creek Town hall, S12455 N. Raven Dr. Strum, WI 54770, June 12, 2026, from 11 am - 2 pm. Private internment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
