Harold Perry

Harold E. Perry, age 81, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

He was born on June 13, 1944, in Eau Claire, to the late Lawrence and Helen (nee Larson) Perry.

Harold, known to many as Harry, married Jo Ann Lyons on June 15, 1963. Throughout his career, he worked for Filter Queen and Bankers Life & Casualty Insurance, and later owned and operated Mighty Muffler for 22 years. He also worked with Security Health Plan and Physicians Mutual Insurance Company. Harold was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.

In his free time, Harold enjoyed deer hunting, ice fishing, and attending stock car races. He was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and rarely missed a game. Harold also loved playing cribbage and many other card games with family and friends, cherishing the laughter and time spent together.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jo Ann Perry of Eau Claire; daughters, Wendi (nee Perry) Bauer of Minnesota and Jodene (Tony) Tomes of Arizona; grandchildren, Kayla, Shayne, Brandon, and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Alex, Abel, Corry, Eliana, Carson, Brady, Jax, Noah, and Ryker; and sisters, Margaret and Patricia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Marshall, Raymond, Joyce, Thomas, Florence, Barbara, Lois, Janice, Ranita, and Richard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona, with Pastor JonPaul Dragseth officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel.
