Evelyn Lucarelli

Evelyn Gertrude (Munson) Lucarelli, 87 years old, of Eau Claire, WI, died at home with family on December, 12, 2025.

Born in West Chicago, Illinois on July 22, 1938. She graduated from West Chicago Catholic High school where she was named Valedictorian. She then earned a scholarship to DePaul University in Chicago.

She Married Leonard Anthony Lucarelli on September 5th, 1959 and they were married until Leonard died November 9, 2019, after 60 years of marriage.

Evelyn worked at the Eau Claire County Department of Natural Resources as Supervisor of Service for 25 years. She loved working there and made many friends who are still close friends today. Evelyn loved nature so much so it was the perfect job for her.

She and Leonard went on many nature expeditions around Wisconsin, to Yellowstone and Alaska. She also took her children to every state park in Wisconsin which instilled a love of nature in her children.

Evelyn is survived by her children Peter Lucarelli, Michael Lucarelli, Christine (Jack) Swoboda, Steven (Tori) Lucarelli, Marcia (Jeff) Hickey and many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Anthony Lucarelli, her Sister Ethel Munson, her Brothers Edward Munson and George Munson.

The family of Evelyn wants to thank the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (Eau Claire Location), Mayo Hospital Palliative care and St. Croix Hospice for all they did for Evelyn and her family.

Evelyn's celebration of Life will be at the Eau Claire Rod and Gun Club, 801 Schoettle Ave. in Eau Claire on Sunday, January 11th from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. Her burial will be at a later date at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
