Elton Stephan

After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Elton (Punk) Henry Stephan of Fall Creek, was called home to heaven on June 19, 2025. His family surrounded him to say their last goodbyes, as he passed peacefully at the age of 70 and 3 months.

Born March 14, 1955 in Eau Claire, WI to August and Hulda (Klatt) Stephan, Elton grew up in Rural Fall Creek. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in the town of Seymour where he was baptized and confirmed. In 1985 he married his wife, Susan of 40 years on 20, 1985 at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Fall Creek. Together they farmed in the township of Ludington, until Elton became disabled. They raised two children, Sarah and Ben. Elton enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and helping others. As a family, they traveled throughout the United States. Elton especially enjoyed their cruise to Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Hulda Stephan, brother Eddie, son John, grandparents and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Susan, daughter Sarah (Travis) Mueller of Stetsonville, son Ben of Fall Creek, brother Wendy (Sandy) of Foster, nephew Dallas and his service dog and constant companion Tucker. He has touched the lives of so many and will be truly missed.

A service for Elton will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday June 30th at Zion Lutheran Church 1286 S 150th Ave, Fall Creek, WI 54742. A visitation period will be held one hour prior to the service. A visitation will be held from 2 P.M. until 5 P.M. on Sunday, June 29 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy Altoona.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at the cancer center at Mayo in Eau Claire for their care and compassion and to the girls at Mayo's West Lab who have become like a family.
