DONALD H. YOHNK
1932-2025
Donald H. Yohnk of Chippewa Falls, passed away on June 3, 2025.
Born January 17th, 1932 to William & Margaret (Kurtz) Yohnk in the Town of Eagle Point.
In 1937 he moved with his parents to a farm in the Town of Woodmohr. He attended St. Paul's Catholic School and graduated Bloomer High School in 1950.
On April 20th, 1954 he married Jeannine Culbert. He worked at The Northern Center 10 years. He then went on to work construction until he retired in 1991. In retirement he helped his children build new homes and do remodeling projects. Donnie loved to do wood working projects, and handcrafted many beautiful pieces of furniture for his children and grandchildren. Donnie was always cutting down trees in the back woods and driving his JD Gator on the trails either looking for wood for his next project or making sure nothing was blocking the trails.
Donnie is survived by his 6 children: 4 Son's: Gary (Cindy), Brian (Carol), Brent (Cynthia), Scott (Brenda). 2 Daughter's: Denise Yohnk, Paula (Wayne) Monpas. 10 Grandchildren: Andrew, Katie, Laura, Matt, Mike, Ryan, Kyle, Nolan, Corey, and Clint. And 9 Great Grandchildren. Siblings: David (Cathy) Yohnk, Doris (Bruce) Behnke, Alice Shafer. 2 Sister-in-laws: Joni Ruff Yohnk, and Darlene Culbert.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Baby Joseph (in infancy), Brothers: Eugene and Francis.
In lieu of memorials, the family asks that you join them for Donnie's Celebration of Life. Come share a story or memory on Saturday June 21st, 2025 at the Valley Tavern, Bloomer, WI. From 11am to 3pm.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is serving the family.
