Donald Amundson

Donald "Doc" Amundson, age 77, of Eau Claire, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

He was born to Edith and Alston Amundson on January 23, 1948 in Whitehall, WI. Doc joined the United States Air Force in 1968 and honorably served his country as an aircraft mechanic for 4 years during the Vietnam War. After the military, Doc had a long career in autobody repair, retiring a foreman for Ken Vance in 2013.

Doc took pride in his work, hobbies and home projects. He restored a 67' Mustang in the 90s and even built a Bearhawk airplane in the 2000s! He loved 4 wheeling and hunting with his buddies and was an all-around good guy.

A memorial celebration will be held for Doc from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M. on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona, WI 54720.
