Dad’s request has always been cremation with no funeral service. I am honoring his wishes where this is concerned - however…
On April 11th, I (or we?) will be in Lake Geneva, WI - his favorite place in the world to go, so I can “leave him at his favorite place, forever.”
He often took me there when I was a child, and then took Mary Ann there (the true love of his life) quite a few times in their 20 years together.
His favorite Lake Geneva festivity was the “Venetian Nights” festival, but his birthday is coming up quickly and I thought that day would be quite fitting.
I know the “when”, but the “where” is pending as I figure it out. I will post more details soon.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
