Donald "Donnie" E. Frase, age 100, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully at Our House in Chippewa Falls on Friday November 28, 2025.
Donnie was born in Eau Claire to Edward and Daisy (Herrick) Frase on May 6, 1925. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. He attended Lowes Creek Grade School and graduated from Eau Claire High School.
Donnie farmed with his parents, raising chickens, hogs, and milking cows until the passing of his father. He then started turning the farm into a haven of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and machinery with parts stored everywhere. You could find him in his shop day or night, repairing, welding, or building something special for friends or relatives - like the "little tractor" or merry-go-round he created for his nieces and nephews! He loved his old-time music and spending much time kicking up his heels at the Moose Lodge, dancing with the ladies. Donnie became more generous as the years passed, donating to several charities.
Donnie is survived by nieces: Barb Williams of Chippewa Falls and Dawn Frase of Fall Creek; nephews: Dean (Crystal) Frase of Eau Claire, Wayne Frase of Sandwich, IL, and Gerald Williams of Chippewa Falls; sister-in-law Dolores Frase of Eau Claire and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Homer, and sister Mildred Williams.
