Dianne Schoenbein

September 21, 1952 — January 9, 2026

Dianne Elaine Schoenbein, 73 of Eau Claire, Wisconsin moved on to her next adventure on January 9, 2026.

She was born September 21, 1952 to Densil and Marian Anderson in Amery, Wisconsin. She spoke fondly of her childhood with her 4 siblings always outside playing and fishing. After graduating from North High School in 1970, she married Jim Verdon and together they had 5 daughters as they traveled the world as a military family. They lived in Mississippi, Italy, Texas, Greece, Florida, and Washington. Moving often just meant a new place to explore. She moved back to Wisconsin in 1991 and in 1995 she married the love of her life, Philip Schoenbein. Together they continued to camp, fish, dance, or get together with numerous friends to play a game of 10000 or 31 both in their summer home in Wisconsin and their winter home in Florida. Their home was filled with music and joy.

She is survived by her husband Philip Schoenbein; daughters: Angella (Jeff) Menegay, Gina Verdon, Deanna (Mike) Boushack, Rebecca (Jenna) Dzikowski and Kristina (Travis) Amundson; stepsons: Frank (Dori) Schoenbein and Troy Schoenbein; sisters: Debbie (John) Tenney and Karen (Pat) Beaver; brothers Duane (Debbie) Anderson and Bryan Anderson; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and chosen family who told us often that she was like a mother to them.

A celebration of her life will be planned in the summer when we can be out in the sunshine, grass under our bare feet as she would prefer.

The family would like to thank Bethany Stevens NP for her amazing care throughout the years and St Croix Hospice for their support for her final days.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
