Delora Mable Miller

Apr 16, 1940 — Jun 7, 2026

Delora Mable "Dee" (Mullins) Miller, 86, born April 16, 1940, in Mammoth, WV, peacefully passed away at her home on June 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Dee leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, wit, resilience and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was known and cherished as Mom, Dee, Mabes, Grandma and Auntie.

Born the fourth of eight children to Emery and Juanita (Fisher) Mullins, Dee spent her early years in Clendenin, WV. She attended Clay County High School her freshman/sophomore years and following a move to Wisconsin, finished high school in Poynette, Class of 1958.

After graduation, Dee moved to Madison and began working for General Casualty Insurance Company. It was in Madison that she met Roger J. Miller; they were married September 30, 1961, and shared 64 years together.

Dee and Roger raised their three daughters, Julie, Susan and Teresa in Waukesha, WI. During her daughters' younger years, Dee devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mom. She later worked part-time in the administrative offices of Carroll College and then for the Waukesha School District. In 1978, Roger's career took the family to Perrysburg, Ohio, where she worked at St. Luke's hospital for 20 years, primarily in medical transcription.

Following retirement, Dee and Roger settled in Casa Grande, AZ, in 1999, where they enjoyed many happy years filled with travel, golf, cards, and cherished friendships. In 2017, they returned to Wisconsin to be closer to family as Dee's health gradually declined due to Parkinson's disease.

Dee found joy in life's simple pleasures: bowling, card games, dominoes, fishing, dancing, travel, casinos, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and sewing. An accomplished seamstress, she created countless treasures for those she loved. Above all else, Dee treasured her family.

Her beautiful smile could light up a room, her contagious laughter brought joy to every gathering, and her quick wit never failed to make others smile. Nothing delighted her more than spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her gentle heart and enduring love for family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Dee is survived by her husband, Roger, of 64 years; daughters, Julie (Mike) Konzen of Chippewa Falls; Susan Miller of Arizona; Teresa (Kevin) Sullivan of Colorado, 9 grandchildren: Michael (Kate), Marie, Joe (Breanna), Rebekah, Ruth, Brendan, Sean, Dylan, Mindy (Zack); and 11 great-grandchildren: Spencer, Noah, Will, Damian, Jaxon, Aris, Donovan, Kaisen, Alahni, Mazi and Colby.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Interim Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort and guidance they provided throughout Dee's final journey. Their kindness and support will never be forgotten.

Dee's memory will live on in every shared laugh, family gathering, and treasured tradition-especially the annual Christmas White Elephant gift exchange she loved so much. We take comfort in imagining her reunited with loved ones gone before her, raising a glass to eternal life and enjoying one of her favorite brandy old fashioneds with sweet.

Rest peacefully, Mom. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed.

In accordance with Dee's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Family members will gather at a future date to celebrate and honor her life. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, is assisting the family. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.cremationsociety-wi.com.
