David Michael Onstad

David Michael Onstad of Pleasantville, passed away peacefully to heaven on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 78. Dave was born on January 13, 1948 to Paul and Mabel Onstad of Eau Claire.

He shared nearly 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved Joanne. He is survived by his daughter Sheri Wood; son Michael Onstad; sister Elaine Erickson from San Diego, CA; brother Paul (Diana) Onstad of Mondovi; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dave loved spending time with his family and friends and telling jokes. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandson Raymond Onstad playing baseball. He rarely missed a game and when he couldn't make the games anymore, he watched every single game on a game changer on t.v. He was Raymond's biggest fan.

Those who knew Dave will remember him as a kind, good natured man with a warm heart and genuine love for his family and friends. His quiet strength, loving nature and humor touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Dave will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him, his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at Grace Lutheran Church, N42122 County Rd O, Whitehall. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial with full military honors will be in the Grace Cemetery, Pleasantville.
