David Clayton May

January 27, 1963 — March 20, 2026

David C May, 63, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026 after a difficult battle with cancer. David was the son of Clayton May Jr. and Dolores (Riedel) May.

David was born on January 27, 1963 in Chippewa Falls. He lived most of his life in the village of Hallie. David is survived by his sister Cindy (Bud) Mecusker, Menomonie; three brothers: Gerald May of Chippewa Falls, Steve May of Williston, North Dakota, and Daniel (Jeanette) May of Colorado Springs, Co. He's also survived by nieces and nephews: Sarah Steif Reeve, Alysyn and Jerod May, Jessie May-Bailey and Tanner May; and great-nieces and nephew, friends and relatives.

David was preceded in death by his father Clayton, mother Dolores and brothers Richard and Michael May.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, April 10, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
