Coral Sinex

Coral M. (Graff) Sinex, age 85, Menomonie, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2025.

On May 17, 1940, Coral was born and together with parents Clebourne and Laura Graff became a family of three. She grew up in Menomonie, attended school there and at the Wisconsin Academy. In 1956 Coral married Boyd Nielsen and later moved to Milwaukee where they raised their three children Linda, Judy and Daniel. In 1971, Coral was remarried to Wm. Sinex and continued living in Milwaukee for several years making many lifelong friendships.

In 1980, Coral returned to her home town of Menomonie where she worked many years at the Kernel Restaurant and then later at U.W. Stout in the Dining Services.

Later Coral found her passion in helping care for children. She provided foster care and respite care for numerous children in the area. Also, providing day care as the need arose. Caring for all her children was something she cherished. She was a kind, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be missed by all who knew her.

Coral enjoyed a good game of cards, camping, fishing and family get-togethers. Her great cooking/baking skills were shared by many who may have spent holidays or birthdays alone. She always made "too much" and was always thinking of others. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed sewing and had been known to make matching outfits for the entire family! She was known for her many pranks/jokes that caught many of her unsuspecting "victims" off-guard.

Coral is survived by her children Linda Nielsen, Judy Boguslawske and Daniel Nielsen; seven grandsons and nine great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sisters Karen Jean (Richard) Maneage and Cleora (Leon) Herrick; two aunts; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Coral was preceded in death by her parents Clebourne and Laura Graff, a brother Gerald Graff, son-in-law Donald Boguslawske and daughter-in-law Debra Nielsen.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 18, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Menomonie Seventh Day Adventist Church at E6451 C.T.H, E, Menomonie, WI 54751.
