Charles Perry

August 24, 2025 — August 24, 2025

Charles D. Perry, "Chuck", age 69 of Eau Claire, WI, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

Charles was born to Dick and Evelyn Perry on January 20, 1956, in Eau Claire. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1974 and attended Chippewa Valley Technical College where he obtained an associate degree in accounting. Chuck met the love of his life, Julie Kavanagh when he was sent by his sister Nancy to "check on" his niece and nephew who Julie was watching while their parents went on a cruise. In 1991, Chuck and Julie were married at Bethel Church and spent the next 34 years of their lives together. In 1995 their family grew with the birth of their son Scott. In his working life, Chuck spent many years in the circuit board and packaging industries, working for many different companies in the area before retiring in 2020.

Chuck enjoyed doing many activities including fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was a model train enthusiast and avid Green Bay Packers fan. His match with his wife Julie was perfect, as she loved to cook and he loved to eat! He always had room for her desserts. He was a man of faith and was an active member at Bethel Church where he was an usher for many years. He will be remembered for his prayers before meals at family gatherings, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Chuck loved kids and giving bear hugs. He had a great sense of humor, always quick jokes and puns. He was a great listener and though a man of few words, he always seemed to know what to say in the moment. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; sister Joan and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Ruth and Jerry Kavanagh.

He is survived by his wife Julie, son Scott; sisters Jan (Dale) Smith and Nancy (Marty) Hendricks and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Becky Kavanagh, Kelly (Debbie) Kavanagh, and Jean (Kevin) Phillips. His nieces and nephews include Paula and Brenda (Smith), Chad and Ashley (Hendricks), Mackenzie, Erin and Meghan (Kavanagh), and Lori, Lindsey and Katelyn (Phillips).

A private family burial will take place at Norwegian Cemetery in Eau Claire with a memorial service to follow on a later date.
